Emmerdale, which has not yet broadcast on television but is now accessible on ITVX, includes spoilers for tonight’s episode in this article.
Following the revelation of Anthony Fox’s (Nicholas Day) prior sexual assault of daughter Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly), Caleb Miligan (William Ash) could be getting dark retribution on Fox in future Emmerdale episodes.
Earlier this week, Caleb was devastated to discover that Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) was not his legitimate daughter. He was even more devastated when Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) concluded that Anthony was her true father.
In tonight’s episode, Caleb was furious that he hadn’t sorted things out sooner and found it difficult to accept that Anthony could have mistreated Ruby.
It wasn’t his fault, Chas reassured him, and it would be reasonable to believe that someone couldn’t have committed such a horrible deed.
Afterwards, Caleb told Ruby that they had doubts about Steph’s conception and vowed to believe her.
Before sobbing in tears, Ruby acknowledged that Anthony had sexually assaulted her.
She courageously told him about the first time Anthony had raped her after Caleb reassured her that she could tell him as much or as little as she wanted about her experience.
As their talk went on, Ruby disclosed that her mother had not accepted her account of what had transpired, but she assumed she must have had a change of heart before she passed away.
Additionally, she assured Caleb that he had rescued her and that she was unable to tell him the truth sooner because she didn’t want to alter his perception of her.
Ruby pleaded with Caleb to do nothing as he struggled with his rage at Anthony, stating that she couldn’t take the chance of Steph learning the truth about her father.
But as Ruby moved out of the way, Caleb picked up a delivery—later identified as a pistol.
Although we are aware that Anthony would be discovered dead the next week, is it possible that Caleb killed him?
