When Nicola gets home, she interrupts the tutoring session by informing Anthony that she has heard he poses a risk to children. Anthony’s concern quickly escalates into a fit of rage.
Nicola feels threatened physically until Laurel abruptly steps in with a candlestick, knocking Anthony out.
In the meanwhile, Cain worries that his tryst with Ruby might no longer be a secret after witnessing his sister Chas become so upset over something in the pub backroom.
He tries his hardest to encourage Chas to open up, but when Chas shares a terrible truth, Cain is left speechless.
Nicola and Laurel are still worried about Anthony’s well-being outside the village hall.
Seeing Anthony and Ruby engage in an open exchange outside the church unsettles Aaron.
When Caleb arrives, he tells Anthony to get into his vehicle.
Joe finds solace in the graves when he sees how much Kim misses Graham. Although Kim’s sadness for Will is still very much present, Joe’s pledge of support gives her more strength.
Dawn and Billy are struggling, and Kim has a compelling idea: Dawn should quit her job at the veterinarian’s office and work full-time for Home Farm Estates.
However, Dawn soon finds out that Joe has become her new employer and suspects that he is behind the whole affair.
Tuesday, January 21: Anthony’s failure to see her as scheduled has left Stephanie perplexed.

Joe and Dawn clean up on Wednesday, January 22. Charity recognizes Joe’s involvement when she sees Noah’s watch.
Charity arrives to Home Farm to give back the watch and give Joe instructions to avoid Noah. Later, we find Joe sitting in his parked car on a lonely country road, fighting to stay aware.
Dawn’s guilt nearly overtakes her as Billy and Evan come home from the hospital following Billy’s first outpatient chemotherapy visit.
January 23, Thursday: Anthony is discovered dead
Dawn discovers a bottle of enigmatic pills on the floor and Joe slouched behind the wheel. Dawn inhales deeply as she is ready to tell Billy that she cheated on him.
A nurse at the hospital is suspicious of Nicola when she clumsily goes to A&E to inquire as to whether Anthony has been admitted. Laurel is a complete mess.
In light of her remorse, Laurel turns to religion on Friday, January 24.
Sensing that things are uncomfortable, Steph asks her parents where Anthony is.
Anthony’s teeth is still unidentified.
