Emmerdale, which has not yet broadcast on television but is now accessible on ITVX, includes spoilers for tonight’s episode in this article.
Caleb Miligan (William Ash) received yet another painful blow in tonight’s episode after learning earlier this week that Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) wasn’t his actual daughter.
Caleb called Rob Harris, a childhood friend of Ruby Fox-Miligan’s (Beth Cordingly), to the house in an attempt to find out who had fathered Steph.
Caleb forcefully attacked Rob because he thought he was the one responsible for Chas Dingle’s (Lucy Pargeter) admission that she was aware of the DNA test and that Ruby had given her the notion that she had been coerced into having sex before becoming pregnant.
Rob, however, insisted that he was innocent and disclosed that Ruby had been the only person to know that he was gay.
The penny dropped for Chas when he revealed that she spent a lot of her childhood at his house because she was afraid of her father, Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day).
Caleb was perplexed when Chas mentioned that they now know Steph’s father’s identity after he apologized to Rob and shown him out.
Chas thought back to her own experiences with her son Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), who had been sexually assaulted by his father Gordon, while Caleb was having trouble understanding who she was talking to.
Caleb was appalled when Chas said that she thought Anthony was Steph’s father and that she thought he had sexually assaulted Ruby.
Ruby, meantime, was naturally in shock after learning that Steph was Anthony’s daughter, and she turned to alcohol in an attempt to dull her feelings.
But when she woke up and saw Anthony seated on the bed next to her, the situation became much more terrifying.
She was terrified and told him to avoid her, but he persisted in deceiving her about the past.
Ruby had him face the past when she remembered what he had done to her, despite his insistence that he had nothing to do with her marriage to Caleb ending.
Even though she remembered how her mother didn’t believe her when she confided in her, Anthony wouldn’t acknowledge that he had raped his daughter.
He was shocked when Ruby disclosed the results of the DNA test, which showed that Anthony was Steph’s father, but he refused to accept responsibility for his conduct.
Anthony will be discovered dead in later sequences. Who is going to take his life now that the truth is known?
