Paula Lane, star of Emmerdale, shared some devastating news on social media that left people feeling “shocked and angry.”
In a message from a nearby hospice, the actress disclosed that they had been broken into and that the culprits had left “thousands of pounds worth” of damage.
The hospice staff is in “shock, anger, and disbelief” over the damage and other objects that have been stolen.
“I hope the absolute scumbag low lifes who did this to Overgate Hospice never need to use this wonderful place after their karma catches up with them,” the Ella Forster actress said in the caption of her photo, expressing her similarly shocked feelings.
“Please contact the police if you know anything or have any information.”
Support was swiftly offered by her Instagram followers, one of whom commented, “How terribly sad.” I’m sorry that such an important service has been affected.
It pains me to read this. It’s utterly repulsive. Another said, “I’m glad the staff and patients were safe, but I can’t even begin to imagine the psychological side.”
How could somebody be that callous? For the staff, patients, and families, that is really upsetting and painful,” a third person added.
Paula, an actress, joined Emmerdale a little more than a year ago, but she will be leaving this year.
In February 2025, the actress will wrap up filming on the ITV serial opera, according to an update on her Spotlight page.
She was a part of a major plot point during her tenure on the program, in which the character Ella confessed to killing her childhood best friend.
Additionally, she has intermittently dated Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
It is unclear exactly how Ella will depart the Emmerdale village, but it may have something to do with Liam and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), who at first decided to keep their relationship a secret in order to protect Ella from harm.
