In Emmerdale, April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) is still missing, and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is totally stressed out.
On the day of Christmas, the teenager vanished. Marlon went upstairs to thank April for the gift she had given him after letting her sleep on Christmas morning, only to discover that she was not there.
Days of frantic searching ensued, and regrettably, the search is still ongoing.
Marlon wakes up abruptly at the start of a new week following a horrific nightmare in which April is dead. Upon her arrival, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) gives Marlon the most recent content from the Hotten Courier website.
When Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) learns that her history is being unearthed online and exploited to make accusations that she is to blame for April being missing, she is appalled. Later, completely worn out from yet another day of looking, Marlon and Rhona acknowledge to themselves that they must think about the possibility that their little child is dead.
The next day, Marlon makes his way into the heart of Leeds, stumbling through the streets in search of any signs of optimism. Marlon approaches many people until spotting a little girl who appears to be April in the distance.
As he rushes to stop her, Marlon encounters Ross Barton (played by Michael Parr), who is also looking around the streets.
Following an initial confrontation, Ross does his best to encourage Marlon and maintain his search for April.
The two men keep strolling around Leeds till they feel overpowered. Marlon and Ross discover that they are surrounded by reminders that April is one of hundreds of thousands of individuals who are missing amid a sea of people.
Is she ever going home?
