When her father, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), passed away unexpectedly in Emmerdale, Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), was completely upset over the holiday season.
Shortly after Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) told Kim Tate (Claire King) of Will’s plan to overthrow her, the character experienced excruciating chest pains and passed out on the ground.
When Will pulled down the Christmas tree, Kim grinned, thinking he was having a panic attack, but the situation was far more serious.
The question of whether a specific Joe Tate was involved in Will’s death began to be raised in the aftermath.
Dawn informed Joe at the start of tonight’s ITV soap opera that the post-mortem findings will be released shortly. Dawn was certain that Joe had something to conceal, and she pondered whether he would abruptly leave the village before she learned of it.
Dawn got a call after Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) visited to discuss tomorrow’s funeral. She later assured Kim that Will’s death was caused by natural causes, indicating that there were no questionable circumstances involved.
Shortly after, Joe came over and requested some pain medication from Kim. Joe interrupted the conversation to inquire about Will’s condition and discover that he had been “exonerated.”
Dawn apologized profusely to Joe. The returning character isn’t hiding anything about Will’s death, but he is concealing something about his health since in recent scenes, viewers have seen him go through a lot of agony and frequently turn to medicine to relieve his symptoms.
Dawn was looking through the box of stuff Jimmy King (Nick Miles) had left for her at the end of the show.
They were all from the haulage office and belonged to Will. Interestingly, there was a USB in the packaging.
Dawn was shocked to find a video of Will when she plugged the gadget in. She was horrified when her father said:
I hope you are the one watching, not someone else, Dawn, my love. However, that implies I am dead if you are.
“It also implies that Kim was the one who did it.”
What comes next?
