Two years after departing the ITV serial opera Emmerdale, Fiona Wade has shared information about her most recent role.

The actress, best known for playing Priya Kotecha in the Dales from 2011 to 2023, will be in a new sitcom in the United States.

The play, titled Going Dutch, also stars Catherine Tate, a comedy icon in the UK, and Denis Leary, a Hollywood actor and comedian from the United States.

The program centers on Denis’s character, Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, who, after an inflammatory tirade, is sent to command a military installation in the Netherlands.

Fiona posted a number of photos from the shoot to Instagram, writing: “Working with these amazing people was such a pleasure to be a part of!” “Going Dutch,” the brand-new sitcom for @foxtv, is currently available on @comedyclubfox and @hulu. #FoxAmerica #goingdutch

The show’s UK premiere date has not yet been revealed.

After receiving an intriguing new job opportunity, Fiona quit her employment as Priya in 2023, leaving the Dales to start a new life in London.

It happened following a traumatic occurrence at Take A Vow, when a little fire brought up memories of the terrible maze fire tragedy that had left Priya severely traumatized.

Fiona posted a photo of her opulent trip to Goa with her husband Simon Cotton, whom she met on Emmerdale, last month.

The pair explored North and South Goa in India on their pre-Christmas vacation.

Fiona posted pictures of their breathtaking vacation to Instagram, writing, “North & South Goa.. Utterly beautiful.” Amazing recollections. We got to know a lot of lovely folks on the inside and out.

“I fell in love with India, and I will always carry the impression it left on me.” I feel incredibly fortunate and rejuvenated.
